NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A Murfreesboro man is among two suspects now facing serious charges in Nashville following arrests connected to separate firearm and drug investigations conducted by detectives with the Metro Nashville Police Department.

Marco Webb, 45, of Murfreesboro, was arrested Thursday as part of ongoing Precision Policing efforts that resulted in six arrests and the service of 11 outstanding warrants for crimes including aggravated assault, felony drug possession, and domestic assault. During the enforcement action, detectives recovered two firearms and seized approximately 180 grams of marijuana, three grams of cocaine, and assorted drug paraphernalia.

Murfreesboro Suspect Arrested on Donelson Pike - Webb was taken into custody after detectives stopped him on Donelson Pike for traveling 70 mph in a posted 55 mph zone. Officers reported detecting the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

A search of the SUV led to the recovery of approximately two grams of cocaine suspected to contain fentanyl, digital scales, two cell phones, cash, and a handgun. Detectives also located a fraudulent Tennessee identification card bearing Webb’s photograph but listing a different name and address. Checks made payable to the alternate identity were found inside the glove compartment.

Webb faces six felony counts of criminal simulation, identity theft, felony cocaine possession, possession of a firearm with intent to commit a dangerous felony, and driving on a suspended license. He remains jailed on a $60,000 bond.

Separate Case Involves Nashville Man - In a separate investigation, detectives arrested 23-year-old Lavellvo Washington Jr. of Nashville following a traffic stop attempt on Buena Vista Pike.

Police report that when officers attempted to stop Washington’s Jeep Grand Cherokee for speeding, he accelerated and fled. With assistance from a department helicopter, spike strips were successfully deployed, and Washington was taken into custody. Authorities allege that prior to stopping, Washington threw a firearm from the vehicle window.

A search of the vehicle reportedly yielded approximately 100 grams of marijuana, plastic baggies, and a digital scale.

Washington is charged with weapon possession with intent to commit a dangerous felony, felony marijuana possession, possession of a firearm with a domestic violence conviction, and evading arrest. He remains jailed in lieu of a $48,000 bond.

The investigations remain ongoing.
