LA VERGNE, Tenn. — Officers with the La Vergne Police Department arrested three separate drivers on multiple charges after each allegedly fled from traffic stops during reckless driving incidents yesterday.

According to police, officers encountered three drivers operating vehicles in a dangerous and reckless manner at different times throughout the day. When officers attempted to initiate traffic stops, each driver chose to flee, prompting three separate pursuits.

Authorities reported that all pursuits were conducted safely and that none of the suspects were able to escape.

Police officials emphasized that enforcing reckless driving violations, stolen vehicle offenses, and violent crimes remains a priority as the city works to maintain a downward trend in overall crime.

“Proactive enforcement not only holds offenders accountable but also makes others think twice before engaging in dangerous and criminal behavior in La Vergne,” the department stated.

Officers noted they continue to receive a high volume of calls related to reckless driving and stressed that removing dangerous drivers from the road is a critical component of public safety efforts.

The department also expressed appreciation for residents who report unsafe driving.

“Your calls and tips about reckless drivers truly make a difference,” police said. “We appreciate you speaking up and letting us know where these issues are occurring so we can respond quickly and take appropriate action.”

Authorities remind drivers that fleeing from law enforcement significantly increases charges and penalties and puts both officers and the public at risk.
