MURFREESBORO, TN (WGNS) - Murfreesboro Police Violent Crime Detectives continue to piece together what happened inside a small trailer at 135 Fairfax Drive last Thursday, where a 35‑year‑old woman was found dead. The trailer sits just off Compton Road, not far from the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center, in a quiet pocket of Murfreesboro that rarely sees this kind of police activity.

Patrol Officers tracked down 33‑year‑old Arthur Moore and took him into custody. After bringing the suspect in for questioning, investigators charged him with second‑degree murder. Moore was booked into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center, where he remains as the case moves forward.

Authorities have not yet released the victim’s name, and they’re keeping additional details close as they continue interviews and wait for forensic results. The area around Fairfax Drive saw a noticeable law‑enforcement presence Thursday as detectives worked through the day gathering evidence.

For now, investigators say there is no threat to the public, but they’re urging anyone who may have seen unusual activity in the area last week to reach out. As more information becomes available, both agencies are expected to release updates.
