MT. JULIET, TN (WGNS) - In neighboring Mt. Juliet, a frightening early Sunday (3/29/2026) morning armed robbery ended with all four suspects in custody thanks to a mix of advanced technology, quick police work, and strong teamwork among multiple law enforcement agencies. The incident unfolded around 3:30 a.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn on Providence Parkway in Mt. Juliet. Police say a 33‑year‑old Florida man had arranged to meet a woman whom he had connected with online. Instead, three men showed up at the hotel room and robbed him at gunpoint. The victim immediately called 911.
Because Mt. Juliet Police recently adopted Flock Live 911, officers received the emergency call instantly on their smartphones and in‑car computers. They could hear the caller in real time and see his exact location, allowing officers to respond while the suspects were still fleeing the scene.
Within minutes, officers spotted the getaway vehicle and attempted a stop. The suspects sped away, leading police on a pursuit along Old Lebanon Dirt Road and into Nashville. The chase ended at a dead‑end in Hermitage, where two suspects were taken into custody at the vehicle. The driver and another passenger bolted into the woods.
That’s when the regional teamwork kicked in. Metro Nashville Police, the Tennessee Highway Patrol, and the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office helped establish a perimeter. Metro’s helicopter crew located the remaining suspects from above, and a coordinated ground search involving Metro K9 and Mt. Juliet officers led to both being captured. Lebanon Police K9 also responded to assist.
Mt. Juliet Police Chief Tyler Chandler praised the seamless cooperation, saying the incident shows what can happen “when preparation, technology, and teamwork come together.” He thanked the partner agencies and emphasized that such coordination helps keep violent offenders off the streets.
Officers recovered a rifle, an airsoft pistol, and the victim’s stolen property from the vehicle. The investigation remains active.
Those apprehended include a 28‑year‑old man, a 27‑year‑old male wanted on two non‑extraditable warrants, a 19‑year‑old woman, and a 17‑year‑old male; all were from Arkansas.
The case underscores how modern tools and strong partnerships help officers respond quickly and protect the community.
