MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) - An otherwise quiet Sunday morning was abruptly interrupted for residents on the s-curve of Clark Boulevard after a two-vehicle accident resulting in both cars striking a local home. Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department (MFRD) units were dispatched to the scene in a stretch of Clark frequently monitored for traffic safety.
Upon arrival, Battalion Chief 2 reported heavy damage to the vehicles, which were found resting against the exterior of the house. Firefighters from Rescue 4 and Ladder 4 immediately began assessing the occupants and stabilizing the structure.
One person involved in the crash was treated by MFRD personnel for injuries before being handed over to Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services (RCEMS) for transport to the hospital. Those injuries were non-life-threatening.
Technical crews performed a structural integrity check on the residence to determine if the impact had shifted the foundation or weakened the support beams. MFRD officials confirmed that no structural compromise was found, allowing the residents to remain in the home.
Units remained on the scene for several hours to assist with the investigation and ensure the safe removal of the damaged vehicles.
