RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WGNS) - Rutherford County softball and baseball teams put on a clinic Thursday, punching three separate tickets to the TSSAA state championship games.

Over on the baseball diamond, the Eagleville Eagles kept hopes alive for their fifth state championship with a dominant 4-0 shutout win over Coalfield. Senior Drake Rzemieniewski took charge on the mound at Wilson Central, tossing a complete-game. He surrendered only four hits and walked three while striking out six Coalfield batters over seven full innings. Sam Dodd and Knox Pemberton paced the offensive efforts for Eagleville, who broke a scoreless tie in the third and never looked back. The Eagles face Richland for the Class 1-A state title on Friday at 11 AM at Riverdale High School. WGNS Radio hopes to bring you live coverage of the game, depending heavily on local weather conditions and finding a covered area at the field to keep the equipment dry.

In softball action, Stewarts Creek secured a spot in the Class 4-A state finals after dominating Dickson County 12-to-1.
