A Night of Music with a Mission, 7PM Friday at Springhouse in Smyrna

SMYRNA, TN (WGNS) - Be a part of making this Friday night's concert at Springhouse Theatre an SRO event! The heart of Instruments of Joy is simple and powerful: placing real musical instruments into the hands of underserved musicians. That mission takes center stage at 7:00 o'clock this Friday evening at Springhouse Theatre, located at 14119 Old Nashville Highway in Smyrna, where a special benefit concert will fill the auditorium with purpose as much as with music.

Instruments of Joy, the Nashville nonprofit behind the concert, has spent years working to bridge the gap between talent and access. Their team collects high‑quality instruments and places them directly with musicians who could never afford them—artists who are already leading choirs, teaching children, shaping worship, or building community through music. More than 1,500 musicians in 71 countries have received instruments through the program, each one becoming a spark of creativity in a place where resources are scarce but passion is abundant.

To support that mission, Instruments of Joy is bringing three standout performers to the Springhouse stage. Land of Color will offer their globally influenced, deeply textured sound. Jeremy Casella brings his signature acoustic honesty and craftsmanship. And rounding out the lineup is a familiar voice to local audiences—Cole Burkett, whose performances at Springhouse have long connected with the community.

While the evening promises a beautiful night of live music, organizers are clear about the deeper purpose. Every ticket purchased goes directly toward placing more instruments into the hands of musicians who need them. Because this is a guest event produced entirely by Instruments of Joy, it is not part of the Springhouse Theatre season ticket package. Instead, the theatre is opening its doors to help amplify a mission that aligns with the very spirit of the arts—sharing creativity, opportunity, and hope.

Those who attend won’t just be enjoying a concert. They’ll be helping another artist, somewhere in the world, take their place in the spotlight. And that’s a gift that lasts far longer than a single evening of music.  CLICK HERE for more information.
