MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) - A familiar face in Rutherford County education is sharing a new story with the community. Longtime Riverdale High School Principal Tom Nolan has officially published a new children's book series designed to bring a little magic to young readers.
Nolan served the Murfreesboro community at Riverdale High School for 36 years, including two decades as the school's principal before his retirement in 2017. Now, he is channeling his passion for youth into creative writing.
His new series, called "The Trick-Or-Treaters: The Halloween Hunt," offers families and classrooms a safe, gentle approach to Halloween. The debut book, "The Trick-Or-Treaters: The Halloween Hunt," follows five children as they track down clues on a moonlit neighborhood scavenger hunt. Nolan says the story helps children ages 4 to 8 learn that spooky moments are often just fun surprises waiting to be understood. The book is available now for local families looking for a heartwarming seasonal read.
