SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. - A Shelbyville residence has been padlocked after authorities say a multi-year investigation uncovered repeated criminal activity tied to the property, including drug-related offenses, assaults, disturbances and dozens of law enforcement responses.

The home, located at 812 Brookhaven Circle in Shelbyville, is about 30 minutes south of Murfreesboro. According to law enforcement, the property was the focus of a joint investigation involving the 17th Judicial District Drug Task Force, the Shelbyville Police Department and the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators said the case covered activity connected to the residence from 2022 through 2026. During that time, law enforcement reported a recurring pattern of criminal incidents at or associated with the address, including the possession, use and distribution of controlled substances. Authorities also cited assaults, domestic disturbances, breaches of the peace and other calls requiring repeated police response.

Records show officers responded to 812 Brookhaven Circle approximately 36 times between 2022 and the present. Those calls reportedly included disturbances, assaults, narcotics activity, welfare checks and one overdose death. During that same period, authorities said 42 arrests were made from the residence.

Law enforcement also reported that traffic stops involving individuals traveling to or from the property resulted in the seizure of controlled substances. Investigators said those incidents, combined with repeated calls to the home, demonstrated that the property was being used in a manner that endangered the safety and welfare of the surrounding neighborhood.

On June 12, 2026, members of the 17th Judicial District Drug Task Force, the Shelbyville Police Department and the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office executed an abatement order at the Brookhaven Circle residence. The order included removing individuals from the property and padlocking the home after it was deemed a public nuisance under Tennessee law.

Photos from the scene show a residential property with multiple bicycles, children’s bikes, loose tires, outdoor equipment and various items scattered around the yard and near storage buildings. Other images show a chain-link gate, a white privacy fence, a trailer filled with bags and debris, and law enforcement officers standing near outbuildings on the property as the order was carried out. One photo shows a Bedford County Sheriff’s patrol vehicle parked near the residence.

The attached images also show several sheds and covered areas on the property, some packed with bicycles, tools, tarps and other belongings. The scene reflects the kind of property law enforcement described as requiring repeated intervention over several years.

Authorities said the abatement action was part of a coordinated effort to address ongoing criminal activity and protect nearby residents. Local law enforcement agencies said they will continue working together to maintain a proactive approach to public safety in Shelbyville, Bedford County and surrounding communities.
