MURFREESBORO, TN (WGNS) - Get ready, Rutherford County, your next EVENING Farmers Market is almost here. Mark your calendar for this coming Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Lane Agri‑Park, 315 John R. Rice Boulevard. That’s right next to PAWS and just down from Sam’s. If you’ve been waiting for another chance to shop local after work, this is it!

NO Morning Market when there is an EVENING Market

Farmers Market Manager Hannah Bleam wants everyone to remember one important detail, “When there’s an evening market, there is no morning market. Our farmers decided it would be too hard to staff.  So, sleep in, grab lunch, and then head over for fresh produce, local honey, meats, goat cheese, baked goods, and all the homegrown goodness you expect from our local area farmers.

And because this market loves to mix fun with fresh food, this coming Tuesday’s Evening Market will wrap up with a round of BINGO—complete with a farmers market prize for the winner. It’s a relaxed, family‑friendly way to enjoy an old-fashioned summer evening while supporting local growers.

Anthony Tuggle, director of the Rutherford County Agricultural Extension Service, commented, “For the many newcomers in this area, the Rutherford County Farmers Market offers a warm introduction to the old‑fashioned Southern traditions and easygoing hospitality that define our community. In fact, we've been sharing our traditions for 51-years!”

INDEPENDCE WEEKEND Market July 3rd

That's right, this year marks the 51st season of the Rutherford County Farmers Market, and with America 250 celebrations in full swing, the patriotic spirit is running high. If you’re planning a Fourth of July cookout, the market has you covered. The Independence Day weekend market will be open Friday, July 3, from 7 a.m. to noon, offering everything you need for a memorable holiday table—locally raised beef for burgers, fresh tomatoes, crisp lettuce, onions, and even cheese.

Bleam added with a smile, “Let the local Rutherford County Farmers Market make this a 4th of July to remember!”

And if you’re feeling competitive, you can jump into an old‑fashioned watermelon seed‑spitting contest during the July 3 market. Someone will walk away with bragging rights they probably never expected.

Admission is always free, and all ages are welcome. Bring the family, enjoy the cool indoor setting, and take part in the traditions—both new and old—that make the Rutherford County Farmers Market such a wonderful, family-friendly community gathering place.
