Angie Walker's MTSU Students Celebrate their Teacher

Close to 75 MTSU students, faculty, friends and family gathered Thursday to remember Angie Walker.

She was an adjunct professor in the MTSU Psychology Department. Angie was taken in the Christiana tornado on November 6th and the 15th would have been her 42nd birthday.

Organizers, her students, wanted to celebrate her life and share how Angie impacted their lives. Several students shared with those gathered that her infectious smile, openness and acceptance can never be replaced.

Current and former students along with staff in the MTSU Psychology Department will come together to remember and celebrate Angie Walker.

Today (Thursday) would have been Angie's 42nd birthday. The event will be held on campus from 4:30-6pm in the Student Union Building.

You may recall Angie was killed in the tornado November 6th that hit in Christiana. She was married to WGNS Radio president Scott Walker and is survived by two children, Reed and Olivia.
