A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Rutherford County tonight (There were no issues here in Rutherford County from the two rounds of wintery weather experienced in some parts of Middle Tennessee over the weekend. Places like Cheatham, Montgomery, Robertson and Sumner Counties, however, woke up to ice and in some cases no electricity. Widespread power outages due to limbs and power lines being downed because of freezing rain were common there, but not here. Winter weather also caused flight delays out of Nashville International. However, it was just rain here that put a damper on most of the weekend.

There is another round of wintery weather expected tonight (Monday) into tomorrow (Tuesday) morning. The National Weather Service says the wintery mix could bring sleet, freezing rain and snow to our area. Forecasters say it could be Rutherford County's best chance out of the three recent storms to bring winter weather here. Stay with the WGNS Weather Eye team of meteorologists as they forecast the chance of wintery weather in our forecast.
