Another Successful BBB Shred Event

The Better Business Bureau along with MaxShred held their bi-annual shred event at Lowe's on Old Fort Parkway. Thomas Bruff with MaxShred tells NewsRadio WGNS over 85-hundred pounds of paper was shred at the event, which started at 9am Saturday. Terrie Page with the BBB says 208 people secured their identity by shreding important documents like old checks, tax returns and anything with personal information. The BBB and MaxShred put on this event twice a year, once in April near tax time and another in the fall, around September. We will let you know when the next shred event is schedule in the fall.
