Another U.S. Veteran commits suicide in Murfreesboro

Murfreesboro Police were called to Ideal Storage on South Church Street Thursday evening around 6 for what later turned out to be a suicide.

Murfreesboro Police Sgt. Kyle Evans confirmed the subject did indeed commit suicide.

Evidently, the 62-year-old man used a cargo strap to hang himself inside a storage unit. Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue personnel tried to revive the man, but were unsuccessful.

Evidently, the man was a U.S. Veteran. His VA case worker told police that he last spoke to the man at around 3:00, Thursday afternoon - the same day that he was found deceased.
