An argument between neighbors over dog poop leads to a 46-year old man's arrest. Douglas Howley of Ragland Avenue was arrested after reportedly brandishing a gun during an argument.

The victim told Murfreesboro Police Officer Seth Jackson there's been tension between them in the past. She reported Howley came to the edge of his yard and pointed a gun at her during the argument with Howley's wife. That's when she went inside her home.

Mrs. Howley's story matched that of the victim and Douglas Howley did admit to pointing the fire arm at the victim because he couldn't tell or didn't know if his wife was going to be attacked.

Douglas Howley was taken to the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center and booked on a two-thousand dollar bond for aggravated assault with a fire arm. The handgun was also seized by police and entered into evidence.
