Murfreesboro Police are investigating an armed robbery involving three subjects at The Pointe at Raiders Campus Apartments.

Officer Grant Perry reports being called to 2315 North Tennessee Boulevard Sunday night just before seven. The victim told him when returning to her apartment, she and a subject in a silver Chevy Suburban attempted to park in the same space. While she found another spot, the victim reports a black male walking up to her to ask for directions.

The victim says after answering the questions, the suspect brandished a gun and told her to give him her purse. Then, she says, another suspect came up behind him, also with a gun. After taking the victim's purse, they fled.

There was another male subject in the driver seat of the vehicle. One subject was reportedly wearing a red jacket and another a black jacket. The victim reports one of the guns was silver, the other black.

Detectives have taken over the investigation in the armed robbery.
