Around 1:00 o'clock Sunday afternoon, high winds downed trees in the Walter Hill area. The National Weather Service says potentially damaging storms could impact the mid-state now through Tuesday.

A resident who lives just off Jefferson Pike told WGNS News that she and her daughter were outside, when a storm with high winds and rain suddenly hit. She described the storm as "intense, and out of the blue". It ended almost as quickly as it began.

WGNS has received reports of many trees being downed in the area (see photos), but no major structural damage has been reported.
