Help Habitat's Drive-Thru ReStore Donations in "The Avenue"

(MURFREESBORO)  Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity (RCHFH) is excited to schedule a Drive-In ReStore Donation Day for Saturday, May 15, 10am – 1pm, at The Avenue Shopping Center. RCHFH is partnering with Exit Realty Bob Lamb & Assoc. to collect donations of household goods for Habitat’s ReStore.

Agents and staff from Bob Lamb’s office will be on hand to take items from people’s cars and place them into the ReStore’s box truck. The “drive-in” event was created as a way for people to remain in their cars and Covid-safe distance while being able to donate to Habitat.  Donated goods are resold in Habitat’s ReStore and proceeds go towards the administrative costs of the nonprofit organization. Not only does this recycle household goods to new homes, but the ReStore also keeps over 560 tons of materials out of area landfills. The ReStore is open to the public, Monday – Saturday, and sells both the donated goods as well as new, heavily discounted items such as area rugs.
