YOU Are A Blessing To Others!

Change Your Radio's Dial Setting

(Rutherford County, TN) As WGNS nears its 75th anniversary on the first day of the New Year, we remind listeners that now (right now) is the time to tune to the Good Neighbor frequency that is strongest and clearest in your neighborhood.  Murfreesboro family should tune to either FM 101.9 or our original home of AM 1450. The Smyrna area should tune to FM 100.5. Of course, you can hear us clearly anywhere in the world at www.WGNSradio.com

As our community grows, WGNS wants to make certain that we can all connect clearly and give each other support during times of blessings or challenges. And during this Thanksgiving season, we reflect on the many blessings of connections with YOU over those three-quarters of a century.

Thanks For The Memories

Friendships built through interactions on Swap'n Shop, memories of decades with the Christmas Parade, cheering your high school and MTSU to victory with 75-years of play-by-plays.

And the morning that our world went quiet when the tornado downed the radio tower early Easter Sunday 2001. You were there for support during the 3-months it took to rebuild. Within hours, WGNS was back on-the-air thanks to a 300-foot horizontal wire strung at our tower site by friends from the Electric Department.

And then you packed city hall for the BZA Board of Appeals meeting and spoke-up in support of approving a waiver to allow WGNS to rebuild its 328-foot tower. YOU are truly our Good Neighbor, and we will always cherish those memories.

As we get closer to the Good Neighbor Station's (GNS) 75th anniversary, we will reminisce more about the many memories we have shared with each other. In fact, please tell us about some of your memories.  Mail your memories to WGNS at 306 S. Church Street, Murfreesboro 37130 or email them to news@WGNSradio.com

Is It Clearer?

And again, let us know if the signal changes have made it better for you. Listeners in Murfreesboro should tune to either FM 101.9 or our original home of AM 1450. The Smyrna area should tune to FM 100.5. Of course, you can hear us clearly anywhere in the world at www.WGNSradio.com

THANKS FOR THE MEMORY, and blessings to all of you during this Thanksgiving season!
