(MURFREESBORO) The man accused of coming at two Murfreesboro police officers on Friday afternoon and cutting them with a box cutter has been arrested. 21-year old Justin Gordon is being held on $500,000 bond at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center. He was charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder. 

As you recall from earlier WGNS' newscasts, the incident occured around 2:00 o'clock Friday afternoon (1/21/2022) at an apartment complex on Indian Park Drive. Officers said that Gordon was threatening to take his own life.

The officers were treated at the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Criminal Investigations Division detectives continue the investigation.  A hearing is set for Justin Gordon on Monday, Feb. 28, 2022 in General Sessions Court.
