Thank You Scarlett

The Education Director at the Arts Center of Cannon County, Scarlett Turney, is retiring after having been a part of the Arts Center family for 34 years.

Scarlett started in 1982 performing in a production of The Sound of Music. Seventeen of those years were spent as a critical part of the staff at the Arts Center.

Among her many achievements, she has performed in 26 performances, directed 22 shows in 17 years, and even replaced an actor onstage 6 times.

Scarlett's impact in Arts Education in the community has been monumental. She has touched countless students' lives in an incomparable way. Through the school matinee series alone, she has introduced over 200,000 students to the magic of theater. This doesn't include the hundreds of students that have been a part of the Summer Youth Conservatory that gives them an opportunity to experience the life lessons that theatre has to offer, in a hands-on way. Scarlett plans to continue directing shows at the Art Center.

Welcome Lindsey Mapes

She performed at the Arts Center of Cannon County throughout high school and into college.
