Atmos energy is currently in the midst of a project that will take several months to accomplish. In fact, now through October, the company that supplies gas to Rutherford County residents is replacing over 20-thousand feet of pipe. The project is in the Smyrna area alongside the Old Nashville Highway.

Jerry Burke with Atmos Energy told WGNS that message boards are in place, but the gas company wants to warn motorists that traffic delay's will occur between 7:00 each morning and 4 in the afternoon, Monday through Friday.
