In nearby Nashville, a woman remains jailed in lieu of $250,000 bond following her arrest Sunday on a grand jury indictment charging her with nine counts of attempted aggravated child abuse and two counts of aggravated child neglect in connection with her physically assaulting a 13-month old boy she was babysitting.

During a three hour period on July 31st, Briana Campbell, 24, was recorded on a home security camera throwing the child on a couch, smothering him with pillows, carrying him upside down by the ankles, and repeatedly striking him in the head and body. The child was taken to a pediatrician where he was examined. Fortunately, the boy did not sustain any serious physical injuries.
