Bald in the 'Boro is a head-shaving event where participants make a contribution to the St. Baldrick's Foundation in exchange for a shorn scalp, and sometimes a St. Patrick's Day themed Mohawk! Hundreds of people have turned out for the event in years past, allowing MMC to raise funds to support childhood cancer research.

The St. Baldrick's Foundation reports more children are lost to cancer in the U.S. than any other disease. Before they turn 20, about one in 300 boys and one in 333 girls will have cancer. Worldwide, a child is diagnosed every three minutes.

The ladies from The Beehive Salon in Murfreesboro will be volunteering their time to shave the heads of participants.
