Murfreesboro Police have made two arrests after an investigation into shots fired in the Battle Avenue area. The report came in around 2:45 Friday afternoon when the victim in an apartment in the 300 block said a gun was fired and the bullet came through her ceiling into her kitchen floor. No one inside the home was injured.

Officers conducted a protective sweep of the apartments. One man reported an altercation inside an apartment just prior to the shot being fired over a television. Once detectives arrived on the scene, the investigation led them to 43-year old Robert Shane Bowen and Amie Seay, age 35. Both were arrested on aggravated robbery charges in connection with the television being taken. Bowen also had two active warrants.
