Strong pitching from sophomore Brice Bogle and Justin Wilson's two-for-three night with the bat helped Oakland past Blackman 5-nothing in the opening round of the District 7-Triple-A Tournament. Wilson doubled in the fourth and singled in the seventh and scored a run for the Pats. Grant Hawkins was two-for-three with two singles and a run scored. Bogle threw a complete game shut-out, giving up only five hits with as many strikeouts. Blackman's Austin Reynolds and Jacob Whitehair were both two-for-three on the night.

Oakland was the sixth seed, defeating three seed Blackman. Number five Smyrna beat number four La Vergne 3-to-1. And #7 Stewarts Creek won their first ever district game against #2 Siegel 1-nothing.
