Tickets are on sale now for a fundraiser to benefit Doors of Hope and Journey Home, set for Sunday, July 20th. “We are bringing our friend Ronnie Knight's band, along with Todd Allen Herendeen (who has a number 1 country hit "God and Country"), and the Bradley Creek Choir from Lascassas to be their back up,” says Chairperson Rita Ash.

Todd Allen Herendeen’s ability to entertain people shines no matter what he does. Todd's goal every night as he walks on stage is for everyone to leave saying "that was the best show I've ever seen." His drive, along with his dynamic voice and excellent showmanship have gained him much success in his 13 years of performing professionally, including a #1 hit. “I just want to use the talents God gave me to bring joy to others.  I sincerely mean what I say, do and sing,” Herendeen states.

The event includes a country supper of fried chicken, mac and cheese, black eyed peas, fresh tomatoes and cucumbers donated by the Journey Home Garden, fresh fruit and hot water cornbread. Homemade desserts, donated from several local churches, will finish out the hearty meal.

Tickets for the 5:00pm dinner and the concert are limited and cost $25. Individual concert-only tickets are available for $15 and are on sale now.

“We have a great committee of individuals who are committed to a successful event benefitting these outstanding non-profit organizations. Checks for sponsorship's should be made to First United Methodist Church (note God and Country in the comment area/memo)," continued Mrs. Ash.  To obtain a sponsorship form or for information about ticket purchases, contact Amy Jaramillo at 653-8491 or Marcie Richmond at 890-7812.
