Blackman Downs Maryville 66-44

Blackman rolled past Maryville 66-44 to open play in the TSSAA Boys AAA Blue Cross Basketball Championships. The Blaze opened the game on fire, shooting 70-percent in the first quarter and jumping out to a 23-to-8 lead. Ced Wilson led Blackman with 19 points while Christian DeWitt added 17 and Isaiah Hart had 16.

Third-ranked Blackman (25-6) will play eighth-ranked Hamilton (14-15) Friday at 11:30. The Blaze eliminated the Wildcats last year in the quarterfinal game 72-63, enroute to the state title.
