A Blackman High School wrestler was killed and another injured in a crash on I-24 in La Vergne. It happened early Sunday morning, just after 2, in the eastbound lanes near the Waldron Road exit. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says 16-year old Daniel Winters was killed and 18-year old Michael Brobeck was injuried in the crash. They report the Toyota Scion, driven by Brobeck, left the roadway and hit a rock wall, landing on its roof. The T-H-P says neither of them were wearing their seatbelts. Counselors will be on hand at Blackman Monday to assist students. An investigation into the crash continues.
