Three of Rutherford County's four sectional teams won their games and punched their ticket to the TSSAA Spring Fling.

Jon Dinkins with the call on NewsRadio WGNS as the Blackman Blaze defeated Walker Valley 4-to-1 to advance to the state tournament for the second time in school history. Their last trip was back in 2009.

D.J. Wright gave up only one hit in 6-and-a-third innings work, struck out five, gave up no walks and hit a batter. First baseban Zavien Lindsey was 2-for-2 with a run scored and one driven in and Derick Junker was 1-for-2 with a run scored and two driven in. He also got the save on the mound.

The Blaze, at 28-10, will be joined by Stewarts Creek in the Class Triple-A field of eight, playing for a state baseball title. The Red Hawks went to Ooltewah and pulled out the 6-4 win in 10 innings. The Class AAA sites are Siegel and Oakland and teams from the same region can't be in the same side of the bracket. That means one will play at Oakland and the other at Siegel.

To Double-A, Central Magnet held off a scrappy Chattanooga Central team to earn a 6-5 win for a spot in Spring Fling. It's their fifth trip in as many years. In Single-A, Eagleville's season ended in a 10-0 loss at Loretto.
