Blaze Drive Burglary Suspect Caught

A 48-year old man was arrested after a resident of the 37-hundred block of Blaze Drive called police to report her home was being broken into. The victim told Murfreesboro Police Officer Travis Ledford a large, black male rang her door bell several times before walking to the back of the house and kicking in her back door.

Officer Ledford reports seeing a vehicle in front of the residence and questioning Joseph Bingham of Lincoya Drive. He told the officer he was on his way home from Shelbyville but was on the opposite side of town and couldn't recall how he made it to that side of town.

A shoe print on the back door was processed and determined to be the same likeness as the one worn by Bingham. With that evidence, police made an arrest for attempted aggravated burglary and vandalism.

Bingham has a January 26th court date and was taken to the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center on a 17-thousand dollar bond.
