The inaugural Bluebird In The Boro concert series was a big hit in 2014, and it's coming back March 2 to 4, 2015! This second annual event will bring the Bluebird Cafe experience to Rutherford County with a dozen hit songwriters coming together to support nonprofit Alive Hospice. Tickets can be purchased online at www.AliveHospice.org/boro.

The 2nd Annual Bluebird In The Boro concert series will be held at Mayday Brewery again this year and is presented by Reeves-Sain and Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital with support from additional sponsors.

Alive Hospice receives tremendous community support

Supporting Alive Hospice as presenting sponsors of Bluebird In The Boro are Reeves-Sain and Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital.

"Reeves-Sain is truly blessed to have the opportunity to partner with Alive Hospice on the 2nd Annual Bluebird In The Boro, bringing the unique Bluebird Cafe experience to Rutherford County. Not only is the event a great time, but it also benefits an extraordinary cause with all proceeds benefiting Alive Hospice's services in Rutherford County," said Reeves-Sain Co-Owner Rick Sain.

"As we continue to enhance the availability of various health care services in our region, Saint Thomas Rutherford is pleased to support Alive Hospice and Bluebird In The Boro," said Gordon Ferguson, CEO at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital. "It was a great event last year and I know it will be just as fun this year."

Bluebird In The Boro is part of The Bluebird Cafe's ongoing support of Alive Hospice. It began 22 years ago with The Bluebird's very first fundraiser for Alive Hospice, a concert series that continues each January in Nashville. The inaugural Bluebird In The Boro in 2014 raised more than $30,000 for Alive Hospice in just three nights. Alive Hospice hopes to exceed that amount in March 2015.

"Alive Hospice's work in our Middle Tennessee community is so important," said Erika Wollam Nichols, GM of The Bluebird Cafe. "We're excited to continue The Bluebird Cafe's presence in Rutherford County for this benefit. The local support for last year's event in the Boro was overwhelming, and we are delighted to be involved in this outreach for a second year."

"Music touches everyone in a profound way, and Bluebird In The Boro will help ensure that everyone can be touched by something equally profound in times of need: the care that Alive Hospice provides," said Alive Hospice President and CEO Anna-Gene O'Neal. "Our community made our inaugural event a tremendous success last year, and we couldn't be more excited about this year's event. It doesn't get any better than phenomenal music for a wonderful cause, and we hope to see everyone at Mayday Brewery March 2nd, 3rd and 4th!"

Alive Hospice is a nonprofit organization with a Murfreesboro team of caregivers based on Medical Center Parkway. When a cure is no longer possible, Alive Hospice provides pain and symptom management for patients to maximize quality of life. It also provides emotional and spiritual support for the entire family. Additionally, Alive Hospice provides grief support services for anyone who has been touched by a loss and community education on end-of-life matters.

Alive Hospice was founded in 1975 and was the first hospice provider in Tennessee and the Southeast, and one of the nation's earliest hospice programs.
