Murfreesboro City Councilman Eddie Smotherman reports that the city has reached a contractual agreement with the White family to purchase the wetlands behind Oaklands Mansion.

The arrangement will be presented to the Murfreesboro City Council during tonight's (8/3/2017) regular session.

Smotherman explained, "The property can be used as a credit towards wetlands, that we will need in the near future when the city imporves and extends Cherry Lane."
