A home in the 1000 block of Lakeshore Drive was hit by bullets. Murfreesboro Police Officer Randall Gaines was called to the home just before 2 o'clock Sunday morning. The victim stated he was inside the home when he heard a loud noise that sounded like a gun shot. The victim then reported finding a bullet hole in his wall by his bedroom window. The report indicates the bullet traveled through his wall, through his bed, through another wall and into a door.

Someone outside the home named a possible suspect, which got into an alleged verbal altercation with him at a party earlier at his home, which is a few houses down from the one hit by the bullet.

Around 11:30 Sunday morning, Officer Sapp was called back out to the home. The victim had found another bullet hole in his home not noticed during morning darkness. The hole was on the outside of the residence, entered his bedroom closet, hitting one of his suits and lying in the floor. Officer Sapp reports it appears to have been a .380 round, which was taken into evidence.

No one inside the home was injured and the MPD's Criminal Investigations Divison is following up on leads in the case.
