Fast action by police landed a burglary suspect behind bars.

When police responded to a North Maple Street business in reference to a burglary alarm, they found a man climbing out of a rear window of the building in question. When the culprit hit the ground, he took off on foot running towards North Spring Street. The man didn't get far as a police K-9 tracked him to a trash can on North Spring.

25-Year old Marquis Williams was found hiding behind the trash can, according to an arrest report. Williams was quickly taken into custody and interviewed by officers.
