The Rutherford County Fire and Rescue Department has placed a burn ban in effect on Friday, Jan. 26, 2018. The burn ban is in effect due to high winds and low humidity in the area.

Burn permits are free and required by law from October 15th through May 15th, 2018. They are only issued when the area conditions are safe for burning.
