After 14 years as the only girls basketball head coach at Siegel, Alan Bush is hanging up his whistle. He resigned as head coach Tuesday.

Principal Larry Creasy says Bush will stay on as a P.E. teacher at Siegel. The search for a new coach is underway.

The Lady Stars' most successful year under Bush was the 2005-06 season, when they reached the region semifinals. Bush has been the only girls basketball coach at the school, which opened in 2003.
