In a press release, Christy Lambright told WGNS, “Come begin your Memorial Day with us as we honor those who have bravely served and given their lives for our country.” Lambert is helping with the planning of the 2013 Campus Life Memorial Day 5k. The run/walk will be held on Monday, May 27, 2013 (Memorial Day) at Central Magnet School, 701 E. Main Street in Murfreesboro. Race start time is 7 am with registration from 6:00-6:45.

The course is a certified and professionally timed, family friendly, 5K Run/Walk. Awards will be given to top age group finishers; t-shirts and goodie bags are guaranteed to early registrants. To encourage participants to show their patriotism there will also be an award given for Most Patriotic.

Registration is available on active.com, with a $10 discount given to those who have served in the Military and a family discount rate: 2 Adults and 2 Children of any age $75. All proceeds will benefit Campus Life/Youth for Christ. Celebrating 30 years of being involved in Middle Tennessee, Campus Life ministry combines healthy relationships with creative programs to help young people make good choices, establish a solid foundation for life, and positively impact their schools. Like every ministry of YFC, Campus Life seeks to engage these young people wherever they are found as lifelong followers of Jesus Christ.
