A man accused of stealing a car that he eventually crashed on Haynes Drive in Murfreesboro will soon appear in court. After 25-Year old Brannen L. Foust crashed the car in October of 2015, he had to be airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.

Foust is accused of running his Honda Civic into the rear of a 2010 Infinity being driven by a 23-year old female. After the minor collision, Foust allegedly went to the car being driven by the female, opened her door and allegedly punched her in the face. The incident was said to have unfolded at a stop sign on Willowbrook Drive at North Rutherford Boulevard.

As the incident occurred a witness in another car observed what was taking place and quickly exited his Lexus and walked over to the car being driven by the female to render aid. That was when Foust reportedly approached the male driver of the Lexus in an aggressive manner. The report filed with the police department shows that Foust then jumped into the driver's seat of the Lexus and fled the scene.

Police reports show that Foust later wrecked on Haynes Drive in Murfreesboro. The accident was severe enough for Life Flight Helicopter to be called to air lift Foust to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.

While Foust was recovering in the hospital, police obtained warrants for his arrest that were served after his release.

On December 20, 2016, Foust is scheduled to file a plea to multiple charges in the Circuit Courtroom of Judge David Bragg.

Foust Faces the Following Charges:

  • Burglary to Auto
  • Carjacking
  • Attempted Carjacking
  • Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident
