Car burglaries do not typically occur at Barfield Park, but that was not the case on Wednesday morning. Two cars were broken into at the park.
One of the two cars was near the baseball field and the second was parked near the entrance to a park walking trail.
In both cases, purses were left unattended in the vehicles. In one of the incidents, a victims credit card was used shortly after the break-in at a local gas station. Authorities are checking to see if the gas station has video footage of the user.
