(MURFREESBORO) - Parents of Central Magnet baseball players were informed Tuesday head coach Buddy Powers stepped down. He lead the Tigers to two consecutive Double-A state tournament appearances in Spring Fling, including a finish in the final four this year. Powers started the team four years ago when Central was converted from a middle school to magnet school. They have played varsity baseball the last three years. You may recall Powers was also the head coach at Riverdale from 1997 until he resigned in 2007. He's also Central Magnet School's athletic director.
