Central Magnet Teens Begin their Tennis Careers Together, Sign Together

Central Magnet School Tennis has announced two senior athletes have signed their National Letters of Intent to play collegiate tennis next Fall. Jordan Berrios and Laurel Tipps celebrated their official signing on Friday, April 15 with teammates, friends and family at Central Magnet School.

Jordan Berrios will attend Marion Military Institute in Marion, Alabama and play tennis for the Tigers. Laurel Tipps will attend Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee and play NCAA Division II tennis for the Railsplitters.

Both girls began playing tennis as 7th grade students with Central Magnet School. They have played together for six years beginning on the middle school team and earning spots as high school athletes during their 8th grade year.

Berrios and Tipps have earned numerous tennis awards and victories over the past six years as student athletes as well as in USTA competition.
