WGNS has reported numerous stories involving local residents caught driving on a revoked license. Many of the arrests we report involve cases where drivers have been busted five times or more for driving on a revoked or suspended license.

In one of the more recent arrests involving a Rutherford County resident, 62-year old James Robert Harris of Halls Hill Pike was pulled over on Kings Highway because his front seat passenger was not wearing a safety belt. When officers questioned Harris, it was noted that Harris had five prior “Driving on a Revoked License” offenses and two prior “Driving on a Suspended License” offense. His license was most recently suspended for failing to file insurance and failure to satisfy a citation.

The report states that Mr. Harris was placed under arrest for Driving on a Revoked license for the 8th time. During the traffic stop Harris was carted off to jail and his Chevy Malibu was driven away by his daughter.
