Cheer Runners in Saturday's Murfreesboro Half Marathon

This coming Saturday is the Middle Half, the Murfreesboro Half Marathon. The race will start on Greenland Drive at Champion's Way and begin with the national anthem at 6:50am. Organizers invite the general public to line the route to cheer on runners again this year.

This is the ninth year of The Middle Half, and at each of those annual events WGNS' Bart Walker has served as the emcee to welcome runners across the finish line. This year 3,250 athletes compete along the 13.1 mile flat course through historic Murfreesboro.

Some of the best places to do that are at Oaklands Historic House, around the courthouse and square, at Central Magnet School on Main, along Alumni Drive and Rutherford Boulevard. The race begins and ends at the MTSU Dean Hayes Track and Soccer Complex.
