There are some things to remember during this Christmas week. Murfreesboro City offices will be closed Thursday and Friday. In addition, the Rover buses will not be in service those days and the St. Clair Street Senior Center is closed. City offices will resume normal hours on Monday, December 28th.

Since Christmas falls on a Friday, the city's garbage will not be picked up that day. If your normal garbage pick up day is Friday, it will be Thursday this week. Those who have Thursday as their normal garbage day will have their picked up on Wednesday.

Road construction will continue through Wednesday. After that, it's a couple of days of construction free driving in areas like Northwest Broad and Old Fort Parkway where the Bridge over Broad project continues. Also, interstate travelers will notice no crews working over the Christmas holiday weekend.

Some folks that will be out on the roads during the holiday are local authorities looking for drunk or impaired drivers.
