In the closest race of the entire election, it was Tiffany Johnson claiming a 27-vote victory over Katie Darby in the county school board, zone 4 race. Longtime board member Wayne Blair decided not to run again.

MURFREESBORO CITY SCHOOL BOARD

Incumbent Phil King was not returned to the Murfreesboro City School board, finishing fourth. The top three vote getters were Becky Goff, Amanda Moore and Roseann Barton.
