In its effort to better stay in touch with its citizens, the City of Murfreesboro has extended its social media presence by including Twitter to its growing number of ways to reach out to its customers, its public.

This tweeter feed, brought to you by the Communications Department, will include information the public needs to know and that the department disseminates on its other other media like the city website, Facebook page, press releases and CityTV, information that includes City employment opportunities, meeting notices, road construction projects and general news about the City. Officials say since citizens are utilizing a growing number of social media outlets to get information quickly...by making City information available through all of these different media, it is providing better and more timely access to important news about the City they call home.
