Classes at this week's RuCo Farmer's Market

The Rutherford County Farmers' Market is open Tuesdays and Fridays from 7 a.m. to noon at the Lane Agri-Park Community Center, 315 John R. Rice Blvd, Murfreesboro. As always, it is a producer only market. Here are the free weekly classes at the Farmer's Market for the upcoming week:

July 21th

"Fall Garden Planning" is the topic on Tuesday, July 21th. The class is presented by Master Gardener Richard Lee. Learn what to plant now and in the upcoming weeks for the fall. Gardening can be almost yearround - extend your season! This Rutherford County Farmer's Market class is free and begins at 9 a.m. in the Lane Agri-Park Community Center, located at 315 John R. Rice Blvd.

July 24th

On Friday, July 24th, the topic is "Putting Up Tomatoes." This class starts at 9 a.m. as well. It will be given by Extension agent Carla Bush. This class will cover how to can, freeze and dry these home gardening jewels so they can be enjoyed throughout the year. This Rutherford County Farmer's Market class is free and begins at 9 a.m. in the Lane Agri-Park Community Center, located at 315 John R. Rice Blvd.
