COLD WEATHER: Frigid with Wintery Precip Chances

Some of the coldest air of the season will have a hold on the mid-state through mid-week. Temperatures won't get above the freezing mark until Wednesday. When you add the wind chill to the cold temperatures, the feels like will be in the single digits and teens.

Late Tuesday through midday Wednesday, a wintry mix of snow, sleet and even freezing rain is possible and the National Weather Service says some ice accumulations are possible. While it may be light accumulations, it doesn't take much ice to cause major problems.

On top of that, another system is expected Thursday with rain during the day, but changing to snow by daybreak Friday. Some snow accumulation is possible with this system.
