30-Minutes down Interstate 840, Lebanon, Tennessee was one of the first communities to communicate to their residents about reopening for business. Now, Lebanon has issued the following letter to residents.

I and other mayors in middle Tennessee have been following the Governor's lead with our executive orders to maintain consistency throughout the region.

Yesterday and this morning Governor Lee announced his plan to restart the economy in Tennessee. The following is how that will affect the City of Lebanon:

  1. Restaurants will reopen Monday, April 27th at 50% capacity with employees following CDC guidelines. No live music.
  2. Retail will reopen Wednesday, April 29th at 50% capacity with employees following CDC guidelines.
  3. State Parks will reopen today, April 24th. Daytime only. Playgrounds will remain closed.
  4. Working at home where possible will continue, for the time being.

Other Guidance to come next week:

  1. Churches
  2. Gyms
  3. Barber Shops
  4. Salons
  5. Tattoo Businesses
  6. Massage Businesses
  7. Medical Offices
  8. Dental Offices

We are not yet at "business as usual," but we are at the beginning of Phase 1. The Safer at Home has been lifted, but we MUST continue Social Distancing and proper hygiene. We must continue to work together to beat this virus. Let's continue to move forward.

Mayor Bernie Ash

City of Lebanon
